Base Oil SN-500

SN 500 base oil is one of the most widely used base oils. It is a light-grade base oil that falls into the higher category of Group I base oils. This grade is primarily used in the production of lubricants and viscosity modifiers.

SN 500 base oil undergoes advanced refining processes such as solvent refining and dewaxing. It serves as a primary component for formulations and blending of lubricants for passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, and various industrial applications. This oil is free from any impurities or compounds that could have undesirable effects on its quality.

This base oil was first produced in the 1930s, and then with the improvement of refining processes and the introduction of hydro processing in the 1960s, it became a more stable, reactive, and long-lasting base oil compared to previous base oils.
